After yet another close race, Real As I Wanna Be managed to retain the title as the favourite album of Cliff's Internet fans for the fifth year in a row literally by the narrowest of margins. At the end of voting, only one point separated Cliff's two most recent studio albums with Wanted yet again having to settle for No.2. Both albums were yet again significantly ahead of the nearest competition, but both had lower voting totals this year despite the number of voters increasing to the highest number yet.
Cliff's highest-selling studio album ever Always Guaranteed re-took the No.2 position convincingly after a narrow loss to his second highest-selling studio album Stronger in last year's poll.
The greatest gainers in this years poll were Every Face Tells A Story, which may have benefited from a re-release last year, and Love Songs which both rose five places to #14 and #15 respectively. I'm No Hero also recorded a significant gain, rising four places to #8. All these albums reached new peaks this year, as did Green Light, Rock'n'Roll Juvenile and The Whole Story.
The greatest drops this year were recorded by From A Distance: The Event and Yesterday, Today, Forever which both fell four places.
No albums entered, re-entered or left the chart this year.
